Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong was born on February 8 1984. She is an American comedian and actress. Strong is well-known for her work as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 2012 to 2022. Strong has the longest tenure of a female actor in the history of the show. Strong was a CalArts graduate who performed improv at The Second City in Chicago. She is currently the host of the Apple TV+ musical comedy program Schmigadoon! She also co-produces the series (2021-2024).
Other roles include voice acting on The Awesomes (2013-2015), as well as supporting roles in films such as Ghostbusters, The Meddler, and The Female Brain. She was also the host for the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2015. In 2021, her first book The Memoir This Will All Be Over Soon Soon, was released.
As a result of her work in Saturday Night Live, she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Comedy Series at the 72nd and the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
Early life
Strong was born in Springfield Illinois and grew up in Oak Park (an inner-ring suburb of Chicago). Strong is the daughter of Penelope and William "Bill" Strong, who was an Associated Press bureau chief and at the time of his death, he was running his own firm of public relations. Penny Legler Strong, a nurse practitioner who has been employed in a variety of hospitals throughout the region, is now retired. Strong's parents divorced. Strong has watched SNL with her mother as an infant. She would recreate sketches with her friend and watch older SNL commercials on VHS. "I had a collection of the greatest commercials, and I wore it out, every day." She has said that she was inspired by the late Phil Hartman.
