Angelica Panganiban - a Filipino American presenter on television, model and actress - is an American comedian. She is regarded as the new Queen of Drama by various media outlets Panganiban is recognized as one of the best skilled and experienced actresses from the Philippines. The word angelica roots implies only the root of the plant is used. Angelica competed in season 12 of America's Got Talent, where her performance of Rise Up (by Andra) got her to the auditions. Angelica got an award of gold from the guest Judge Chris Hardwick in the Judge Cuts Round, after she performed Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys. This sent her straight into live shows. In the live performances, she sang Clarity of Zedd in the Quarterfinals as well as Without You by David Guetta for her Semifinals performance. Angelica reached the finals, singing Symphony from Clean Bandit. On the episode of the results, she performed "Stronger" with Kelly Clarkson. They finished in second place becoming the youngest winner in the show's history. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in the year 2012. She was 4 at when she was diagnosed. Her disease was a severe strain of strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston gave her ECMO an intervention that saved her life. She developed multiple organ failures, and her kidneys were not able to recuperate. It was then a routine of hemodialysis followed by peritoneal dilution. She finally returned home after an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was close to death, and began the long road back to health. Her life had been forever changed. After one year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was able to undergo the largest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. It was her mother who was the one to donate her kidney. Angelica as well as her mom underwent an operation that was successful on September 13, 2013 at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from each other. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star from the beginning.
